# Maxwell International Data (x402) > Machine-only pay-per-call data API over x402. Prices are per request in USDC. Pay-per-call data for ski and mountain trips (6,000 resorts worldwide, lift-ticket prices, restaurants with 10,700 menus around the resorts of 15 European countries, insider tips) and public data (SEC EDGAR, government registers and legislation of 17 countries, OFAC SDN, NVD CVEs, openFDA, NOAA weather, ECB FX, FRED, npm, market quotes, court opinions, patents), served from a continuously refreshed cache; plus x402 Doctor, which tests other x402 endpoints for you. Every paid operation is a GET. Call it without payment to receive HTTP 402 with a PAYMENT-REQUIRED header (x402 v2): USDC on Base (eip155:8453) or Solana, settled through the Coinbase CDP facilitator. Retry the same URL with a PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header. You are charged only when the response is 2xx. Lookups of a specific item that is not cached (CVE, accession, company number, coordinates) return 404 with charged:false and are usually queued, so retry after retryAfterSec. Searches return match:true|false; a completed search with no matches is a 200 and is charged, with a message saying so. Each response carries fetchedAt or generatedAt.
